I strongly advocate for the idea that we are all striving to do our best in life and that ‘best’ can mean something different for each person. No matter what your ‘best’ looks like right now, therapy is about providing a supportive and secure environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, confront challenges, and discover new ways to cope and thrive. As your therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe space for you to be yourself.

In my therapeutic approach, I draw from Adlerian psychology, which is focused on understanding the connection between our life experiences and their impacts on our current identity. This framework allows us to work together towards your goals, which can involve creating meaningful objectives aligned with your values, cultivating resilience, and taking ownership of your personal growth journey. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused modalities when appropriate to enhance the therapeutic process.

When working with children, I approach therapy using a combination of play therapy modalities. Play is a natural medium for children to explore and address cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges they may face. I work to create a safe and nurturing environment for the child while collaborating closely with parents to ensure alignment on therapeutic goals.

Therapy serves as a nurturing space where we courageously explore every aspect of the growth and healing process—the good, the bad, and the ugly. My goal is to cultivate a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and acceptance with my clients, establishing a strong foundation for our journey together.

Throughout my graduate program, I undertook clinical internships at an outpatient mental health hospital and a local school district. These diverse experiences equipped me with the skills to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, and relational challenges. Beyond clinical settings, I have amassed substantial experience working with young people in various teaching and mentorship roles at my local mosque. Currently, I am dedicated to serving as a weekend school teacher for middle schoolers.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Katherine Calo, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Counseling, I am committed to facilitating growth and healing in those I serve.
