Children and adults no longer have to suffer, as treatment is available to help you live a happier and healthier life. Dr. Baggerly specializes in treating trauma and abuse by offering a safe space to heal and reducing disturbing symptoms. Whether clients endure abuse from childhood or from an abusive adult relationship, victims of continuous emotional abuse often suffer a multitude of self-destructive symptoms. Dr. Baggerly also addresses bullying and cyberbullying, helping clients identify and stand up to it safely. The more empowered you are, the better the chance to stop the bullying and recover from the harm.

Dr. Baggerly’s successful research-based EMDR treatment for children, teens, and adults involves processing feelings and memories related to traumatic events. She works with clients to build toolkits that help them better manage big emotions. Together, they develop a set of “resources” that clients can use when they face a scary event.

Dr. Baggerly specializes in teaching parents skills that can positively impact their lives and the lives of their children. She helps parents regain control by teaching successful discipline techniques, setting healthy boundaries, and effectively meeting their children’s emotional needs. This often results in noticeable improvements in the parent-child relationship and the child’s behavior, and most importantly, it helps parents gain confidence in their parenting skills.

Furthermore, Dr. Baggerly believes that children, adolescents, parents, and families can enhance their mental health and wellness through play and expressive arts. Recent neurophysiological studies have shown that these creative approaches can reduce anxiety and increase motivation, helping individuals develop more fulfilling relationships. Jennifer creates engaging therapeutic relationships to assist children, adolescents, and adults in overcoming psychological difficulties and developing effective skills.

Dr. Baggerly is a well-known Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and counselor educator, and also serves as a tenured professor at a university in Dallas.
