I am a firm believer that in life, we are all trying our best, and that ‘best’ can look different for everyone. No matter what your ‘best’ currently looks like, therapy aims to provide a supportive and secure environment where you can delve into your thoughts and emotions, confront challenges, and discover new ways to cope and thrive. As your therapist, I am intentional about creating a safe space for you to come as you are.

In my therapeutic approach, I draw from Adlerian psychology, which focuses on understanding the connection between our life experiences and it’s impacts on our current identity. This framework allows us to work together towards your objectives, which can involve creating meaningful goals aligned with your values, cultivating resilience, and taking ownership of your personal growth journey. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused modalities when appropriate to enhance the therapeutic process.

When working with children, I approach therapy using a combination of play therapy modalities. Play is a natural medium for children to explore and resolve cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges they may face. I work to create a safe and nurturing environment for the child while collaborating closely with parents to ensure alignment on therapeutic goals.

Therapy is a space in which all aspects of the growth and healing process are explored: the good, the bad, and the ugly! I strive to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and acceptance with my clients, laying a solid foundation to facilitate our journey together.

I completed clinical internships at an outpatient mental health hospital and a local school district throughout my graduate program. These diverse experiences equipped me with the skills to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, and relational challenges. Outside of clinical settings, I have extensive experience working with youth in various teaching and mentorship roles at my local mosque, where I currently serve as a weekend school teacher for middle schoolers.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Kay Trotter, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Counseling.

Fun Facts

I absolutely adore Dallas and have spent my entire life here! I’m always on the lookout for new coffee shops to try out, and when I’m not sipping on a latte, I love spending time with my furry friend Zuko. When the weather’s nice, you can usually find me strolling through my favorite local park.
