Hi, my name is Trisha McAda. I specialize in children, adolescents, families and couples. I have experience with substance use with adolescents as well as adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety for children and adolescents. My experience includes 2 years of working with families, individuals, children, and adolescents in therapy. A fun fact is that I have taught in the classroom setting for 16 years with 8 additional years in children and youth ministry. My license includes Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My supervisor is Joyce Miles Jacquote M.S., LMFT-Supervisor, LCDC. My Masters degree is from Abilene Christian University in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialty in children and adolescents. Texas Tech University is where I received my Bachelors in Multidisciplinary Studies in 1997.

I use many different therapy approaches but tend to lean more towards Solution-Focused Therapy. My belief is that all clients have the desire and knowledge to solve their problems, while I walk along side them to pull out their strengths and knowledge. Other therapy models used are Structural, Gottoman, EFT, and Experiential Therapy. I am privileged to be able to work with families, couples, and individuals to navigate daily life struggles. Every client has a unique story, and I believe the most important part of my job is listening to and learning about each person’s heart and desires. Therapy for children and adolescents look a little different with me. I like to play in the play therapy rooms, use children’s play and books, and for adolescents I have been known to pull out Connect Four, Uno Cards, and even use art therapy techniques. My goal is to meet each client where they are and help in a safe, comfortable setting.
